We have obtained the Accredited Tier Design – ATD certification granted by Uptime Institute, the main global standard in the IT industry for the design, construction, and operation of data centers.
“This certification recognizes the capabilities and methodology used by CadLan in the design and implementation of our Data Center projects worldwide. It also places us among the select group of integrators that hold this certification”, says Javier Millán, infrastructure manager at CadLan.
The TIER classification system was created by the Uptime Institute with the objective of effectively evaluating the requirements of the infrastructure that make up the data center in terms of availability, design, structure, performance, reliability, and investment.
“Achieving data center efficiency is very important because among others it directly influences the costs faced by the customer,” Millán explains.
These certificates determine what are the requirements and benefits provided by all Tiers (I, II, III, and IV). Each of them is linked to a specific function in the business and establishes the appropriate criteria in relation to power, cooling, maintenance, and capacity to withstand any fault tolerance. In addition, each Tier upgrade progressively incorporates the requirements and benefits of the previous Tier.
“Data Centers are a key element for the digital transformation processes in which organizations are immersed. At CadLan we design, manage, execute and install turnkey solutions for data centers, including all processes related to the environment, availability, and security so that companies can connect now and in the future. The Accredited Tier Design – ATD certification recognizes that our designs comply with the maximum guarantees for our clients“, concludes Javier Millán.
